"Leadership isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about seeing differently."

Walking past the exercise station in my local park, I was struck by a memory, my children, years ago, leaping joyfully over the posts. That childlike wonder, where everything feels possible. Before we learn to tell ourselves stories of limitation. Before our subconscious becomes coded with fear, however flawed, that keeps us from being the fullest version of ourselves.
As leaders, we’re invited to return to that state of openness. To stop pushing against resistance and instead welcome it in, walk with it, and explore what it has to teach us.
As a leader rethinking leadership, it’s not about resisting challenge, it’s about shifting your perspective. Instead of pushing back, open the door to resistance. Let it in, learn from it, and allow it to shape a more conscious way of leading.
Through the simple rhythm of breathing in and out, we begin to soften. We find flow. We land back in our bodies. And from here, something beautiful happens, we become more fluid, like water over sand. We start to hear the song within us. We glimpse the next chapter waiting to be written.
Over the years, I’ve guided many leaders back to this flow. If you're ready to reconnect with your own, join us at the Number 8 Club, a community for leaders who are doing things differently. Our next gathering is June 5th, 6:30–8:00pm. You don’t have to do this alone.
