The Power of the Pause

People often describe me as calm, grounded, easy to be around. And that’s true… most of the time.
But what many don’t see is my impulsive side.
When I get an idea — not about things, but about purpose-driven possibilities, I feel a wave of energy rise. A spark. Excitement. A strong inner “yes!” And my instinct is to act immediately.
Over time, though, I’ve learnt something invaluable: The power of the pause.
That moment between the impulse and the action is where clarity lives.Where we shift from reactivity to intentionality.
It’s a practice I return to daily, and it’s central to the work I do.
As a coach, healer, and facilitator, I support leaders in:
🌀 Noticing their patterns
🌀 Regulating their energy
🌀 Making aligned decisions, even in complexity and uncertainty
Because when we learn to pause, we access a deeper wisdom.
We move from pressure to presence.
From impulse to insight.
And that’s where true leadership begins.
How do you relate to the pause? Is it something you practise — or avoid.
